  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup high-quality caramel sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 3 medium Honeycrisp apples, diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

2. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until lump-free.

3. In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream to soft peaks. Fold whipped cream and sour cream into cream cheese mixture.

4. Warm caramel sauce with melted butter and sea salt over low heat for 2–3 minutes.

5. Dice apples and toss with lemon juice and cinnamon.

6. In a serving dish, layer half of the cheesecake mixture, then half the caramel.

7. Repeat the layers. Top with apples and optional nuts.

8. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
